Paul Ballinger is a four-time national marathon champion who had a number of notable international results including winning the Fukuoka Marathon in 1982 in a New Zealand record time (2:10:15).In 1983 he finished 27th in the inaugural World Champs. He also finished 6th in the Commonwealth Games Marathon in 1978.
