Allrounder Aimee Watkins (nee Mason) made her New Zealand One Day International (ODI) debut against Australia in 2002 and went on to play 103 ODIs, 36 Twenty20 Internationals and two test matches. In 2009 she captained New Zealand to the World Cup final and the 2009 Women’s World Twenty20. In ODIs, she amassed 1889 runs at an average of 21.71, including two centuries and six half-centuries. Her highest ODI score was 111. She claimed 92 ODI wickets at an average of 31.04, making her New Zealand's leading wicket-taker in women's ODIs at the time she retired. Watkins was a key member of the Central Districts squad since her 1998 debut.
