FAST FUNDING TO GET YOUNG PEOPLE ACTIVE
KiwiSport is a government funding initiative to promote sport for school-aged children (Tamariki & Rangatahi) between years 1-13. Funding is provided by Sport NZ with the following aims:
- Increase the number of Tamariki & Rangatahi participating in organised sport, during school, after school and by strengthening links with sports clubs;
- Increase the availability and accessibility of sport opportunities for all Tamariki & Rangatahi
- Support Tamariki & Rangatahi to develop skills that enable them to participate effectively in sport at both primary and secondary levels.
This Fast Fund KiwiSport Round aims to support Tamariki and Rangatahi to access quality physical activity and sport opportunities post COVID-19.
Applications are open from 10am on Monday 29 June and completed applications must be submitted via the Sport Taranaki website no later than 5pm on Friday, 7 August 2020. Due to limited funding, applications will be assessed on a first in first served basis or no later than 5pm on Friday, 7 August 2020, whichever comes first.
Organisations can apply more than once, but in total all of their applications cannot be in excess of $2000. This funding can be used retrospectively for the purchase of equipment, but only if purchased and the invoice is dated from 1 June 2020 onwards.
Applications are open from Monday, 29 June and completed applications must be submitted via the Sport Taranaki website.
All successful applications will be published on the Sport Taranaki website.
