Sport Taranaki Graduate Position

Sport Taranaki is seeking a new graduate who is highly organised, motivated and has great communication skills to join our team for a fulltime one year fixed term programme.

You will be immersed within the Sport Taranaki team spending the year learning about and being exposed to the many different facets of sporting systems, sport management and administration to help you identify which areas you may wish to consider as a long term career.

Regional Facilities Advisor

The Regional Facilities Advisor will guide the implementation of the Taranaki Regional Sport and Recreation Facilities Strategic Approach, working alongside local authority partners, investors, developers and user groups. 

The successful applicant will also build the capability of those actively working in the sport and recreation spaces and places provision along with ensuing that there is a collaborative approach to the development of places and spaces in the region.

Taranaki Rugby League Appointed Board Director

Taranaki Rugby Football League Inc is the regional organisation charged with leading, developing, promoting and fostering Rugby League in their local area.  They are a member of the Mid Central Zone of NZ Rugby League.

The Taranaki Rugby League Board comprises of eight members of which a minimum of four (4) directors are appointed and three elected.  The independent Appointments Panel is seeking applications for a minimum of four Independent Directors.

The Appointments Panel will be assessing candidates against a range of criteria including:

∙             Clear understanding of governance functions and principles

∙             Knowledge of and interest in the development of rugby league

∙             Knowledge of how community based programmes are run

∙             Occupational skills that add value to the Board business

∙             A strong network across the business and /or league community
