Modified Tai Chi is a free falls prevention programme for adults 65+ (or 55+ if Maori or Pacific Islander). The programme involved two classes per week which are held in a variety of areas throughout the region for 20 weeks.
The Modified Tai Chi programme is a great programme for increasing strength and mobility and is alot of fun.
In January and July of each year Sport Taranaki will advertise that the next block of classes will be starting and for interested people to contact Sport Taranaki. People who are interested will be required to attend a screening session prior to the classes commencing.
From the end of January 2010 classes will be held in Westown, Merrilands, Fitzroy, Moturoa, Vogeltown, Opunake, Stratford and Hawera. The full schedule of classes can be downloaded from Page Links.
