Winners of the 2009 Volunteer Coach of the Year Awards 

Sport Taranaki hosted the SPARC Volunteer Coach of the Year Awards at the TET Stadium in Inglewood on Sunday 11th October 2009.  Over 130 nominations were received by Sport Taranaki with the final winners being:

• Student Award - Koron Oliver from Spotswood College who coaches netball at Highlands Intermediate.
• General Award - Ken Lobb, coach of the NPGHS 1st XV Rugby Team
• Lifetime Award - Kelvin Wackrow from the Inglewood Athletics Club

The overall Regional Winner was Kelvin Wackrow who will attend SPARC's National Coaching Convention in 2010.
